Fire, winter sea and a five-course taste journey where Sápmi meets Östergötland
An exclusive winter experience at Arkösunds Hotell where fire, raw materials and stories from the north and east merge. Grilling over an open fire, wellness by the sea and a five-course dinner created by Thomas Hallgren and David Nilsson – an evening and a day beyond the ordinary.
A winter day by the sea. Fire that crackles, scents that linger in the memory and flavors that tell stories about land, water and people – a meeting between Sápmi and Östergötland, between mountain and archipelago.
We start the afternoon outdoors with grilling over an open fire, where raw materials meet the flames and time slows down. Then there is room for stillness – to just be, or to sink into the warmth in our wellness area with the sea as a backdrop.
At around 6 p.m. we gather for an aperitif and mingle. Flavors and tones taken from both north and east – smoky, herbaceous, fresh and seaside. A meeting where the Sami coexist with the Östergötland, where tradition and modernity chime in the same key.
The evening continues with a five-course dinner with seasonal ingredients, respect for origin and a curious playfulness in the kitchen creates a dinner that is as much a story as a meal. Carefully selected drinks accompany each course.
